Should IT pay the power bill?
InfoWorld: While this article focuses on the outcome being more efficient data centers, the principle is the same for managed print services. Having IT departments pay their power bills would all but ensure that the CIO or the IT executive in charge would design the most energy-efficient office possible, including managing print more effectively. Today, IBM held a webinar called “The Greening of IT” and this topic was discussed along with a litany of ideas regarding how IT can be the leaders in helping companies reduce their greenhouse emissions.
